French Principal french@rockislandcapital.com Prior to forming Rock Island, Mr. French was a Principal at KC Venture Group, LLC ("KCVG"), a Kansas City based real estate firm that specializes in multifamily property acquisition, redevelopment and management. KCVG currently owns and manages a $325 million portfolio composed of over 6,000 apartments in the Midwest and Southwest United States. Prior to KCVG, Mr. French was a Principal/Director of Investment Sales at Kessinger Hunter & Co., LLC, Kansas City's largest commercial real estate firm. Mr. French is an active investor and recently served as the interim-CEO of one of his investments, Star Medical, a mail order pharmacy that provided respiratory supplies. Star Medical was successfully sold to Apria Healthcare in early 2004. Mr. French is a former Certified Public Accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. Mr. French is an Advisory Director for Research Medical Center and Managing Member of several real estate projects. Mr. French is located in Rock Island's Kansas City office.
